DISCLAIMER: The events in the caption are about 99% fanon... There really is almost no info on this ship or the manufacturer except that it's post-Endor. I needed something to make it fit in the lore of the mod. Lol

I like people who make merchant ships instead of a 14th version of the Star Destroyer. Civilian stuff makes the universe way more lifelike and fun. Muchas gracias Eldar scum.

It's basically a box with engines. I love it.

Also that asymentrical window design looks really cool for some reason.

I love asymmetrical ship designs. It's a small detail, as far as that goes, but I was really drawn to it as well. And yeah, of all the ships I've ever done...this one is the 'boxiest' of them all. I think it's second only to the Borg Cube in this respect. Lol

Lol. I like to dig up the more unusual or obscure things. I feel that it helps make my mod unique, rather than redoing all the same ships we see in other mods.

Thats actually one of my biggest complaints with other mods. There is only so many variants of mon cal cruisers and ISDs you can put in your mod, and everyone else has already done that

Exactly. This has been my stance on modding for years now. In the early days I had people asking me all the time to add more units, saying that my mod didn't have "variety". I always replied that having 20 different TIE fighter types, which all do the same thing, is not variety... Now, having 5 TIE fighter types that all do something unique, that's truly variety and actually makes gameplay interesting too.

To compound the issue, many modders all use the SUPER old Evil Jedi models as well. His models are good, don't get me wrong, but they are like...15 years old at this point and literally everyone uses them. Consequently, they all have the same exact ships in their mods, because they limit themselves to what he made over a decade ago. They were good once but it's time to move on.

I mean there is one certain person who just adds way too much, but i wont drop any names, just a random line that isnt a hidden message within the first letters of the words at all!

Description

The Subla Ransom Medium Cargo Hauler was a transport ship manufactured by the Subla Ransom company. First established in the years after the Battle of Endor, the Subla Ransom company sought to capitalize on the coming peacetime era by manufacturing transport and civilian craft. Of these, only their Medium Cargo Hauler gained any kind of notoriety, though the ship was still somewhat obscure. In an attempt to create brand awareness, Subla hoped to push their products into the market quickly by steeply discounting many of their haulers.

Seeing a need for a larger transport craft within the Mandalorian Navy, the Mandalorians took advantage of the sale and acquired a large number of ships. Their large size (approximately the size of an Imperial AT AT Barge) and the ease with which Mandalorian techs could add armor, made them a popular choice for transporting vehicles to frontline landing zones. After-factory Beskar plating was added to the exterior and other small modifications were made to make the ships "battle ready", though no weapons were added due to weight restrictions after adding the armor plating.

The cheap purchase proved a success and, excited to see their product being used by the Mandalorians themselves, Subla offered to continue to produce the Medium Hauler for the Mandalorians at the originally discounted price. Civilian alternatives were soon introduced, being advertised as "popular with the Mandalorians" and using "military grade durasteel" but these variants were cheaply manufactured and the craft soon fell out of public favor. However, the Mandos continued to purchase them on the cheap and modify them with their own superior armor and tech.
