As stated in the previous screenshot, more satellite variants to come. This is the repair satellite, capable to repairing nearby units. It will not restore destroyed hardpoints, however.
A note on poly count here... Satellites in the mod will be quite a bit smaller than in the vanilla game. They were HUGE before, especially compared to the vanilla game's Star Destroyers and such. They'll be more the size of a corvette or small frigate this time around.

Really liking your idea for the satellites. They're one of the things that almost never get touched in mods.

Very nice! So, more variants to come? So far youve showed us 4 different ones. I guess a radar one is the next to come. Nice way to make the fog of war disappear and allow the player to see whats coming from a longer distance. Maybe some kind of hangar or coms tower which spams fighters/interceptors, though that may not make much sense since it would be more offensive than defensive, but defensive hangar bays are s feature i like in sins of a solar empire, and could have a nice application in galactic conquest. Space mines turret deployer? Maybe another turret that doesnt allow the oponent player to call in reinforcements in a huge area around the turret. Tractor beam or ion weaponry to immobilize ships?
Since youre making turrets smaller in size and more variation to choose from, it would be a nice idea to increase the number of buildable turret platforms in all the maps.
The possibilities are endless!
The turrets types will be: Missile, anti-fighter (rapid laser), turbolaser, repair, radar, radar jammer, and ion cannon.
Gravity well stations are already a feature but are capturable entities on some maps only, not buildable at any "turret" location for balance reasons.
As for tractor beam turrets...Those were actually something the devs have code for in the game files but they seem to be broken. I'm not sure if that's fixable or not but either way, I won't be including them.
Ah yes i was wondering what you would do with the vanilla buildable structures, like the gravity well station and long range scanners.
They were always far from the station and very hard to keep alive.
I don't remember if you've already touched on them, but are new structures added?
Cause as far as i remember, the Imperials had 2, Rebels only 1 and the Mando's (ZC) none.
I have not added or modified any of those structures yet. Every faction will get some love though.
