A former Imperial Stormtrooper who defected to help the Rebellion, Kyle Katarn was both a skilled soldier and spy. He worked alongside another Rebel Infiltrator, Jan Ors and the pair were essential in many critical victories for the Alliance, namely the theft of the Death Star I plans as well as the sabotage of the Darktrooper project.
Eventually Kyle would learn of his sensitivity to the Force and would be trained by Luke Skywalker, albeit only partially. Several close brushes with the Dark Side led Kyle to be hesitant to fully embrace his gifts as well as the teachings of Skywalker. As a result, Kyle's ability with the Force is as much self-taught as it was officially studied at the Praxeum. However, through much introspection and maturation, Kyle did eventually give himself fully to the teachings of the Jedi and became one of Skywalkers most successful students, even earning a seat on the New Jedi Council.

There was at one point but the program basically died with General Mohc so I decided against it, ultimately.
