No to the tail weapon, the weapon set looks great as it is. You can over do it on the M.W.L.s. This looks great btw. I'm loving your mech designs.

Because it doesn't need one and yo already have several units equipped with M.W.Ls and I think you are kind of over doing it now. I love your previous models but I'm just thinking that Cybran need other stuff besides M.W.L armed experimentals (I am aware you have done other things for the cybran).

Don't really like it. Looks something like a brick (that thing from SC1) and I didn't like that one too. Just too square en overall shape.

I said "indirect replacement"...which means that it is used for the same purpose, although not being its direct replacement ;)

just one thing, but why always triple barreld cannon turrets, why just double or even quad barreled :p

its a minor thing for you but i allways think "why exactly triple guns" ...

well i would like to see some more difference on the turret part ... *g*

also... it needs more spikes !

quad barrelled....hmmm, sounds interesting !
But having quad barrelled guns, it will require the base to be a box, and not a triangle, which refers more to the UEF style ;)
but then again....anyway, interesting idea nevertheless !

it'd have to be pretty darn fast or cheap to make it worth the money to make a raider expy. If its a weak spot, why not send a couple T1 tanks with stealth instead, rather than waste a perfectly good experimental? Love the design, but the concept may need revising no offense.

they get chewed really easy, in comparison to other experimentals ;)
they're better used as ambush tactics :D

sorry about the huge comment but id really like feedback on it. suggestion, id like to see what a 6 legged version of the megalith from scfa would look like. a mobile gantry perhaps?

id love to see experimentals being built from above. like a chicken sitting on an egg, cept this would be like a giant mother tarantula standing over its kid to protect it.

if you were to change the megalith 2(i absolutely hate that pathetic excuse for a unit that was suppoosed to surpass its predecessor that was almost twice as big as the monkeylord in its day) that would be perfect.

lastly, i understand having a mobile gantry would be either useless or overkill, to solve the overkill, make it a unit that only a commander can build, and only after reaching its final veterancy stage, not through research, thus being higher in rank than t5 units, classified. and to keep from going totally overkill, make it so there can be only one of that unit.

make it so the only way the commander can level up would be to kill enemy units. that would make the commander more of a hero like the movies make them look, other than just a high rank engineer in reality

and to solve the uselessness, make it just a really big assault experimental that has the ability to quickly create experimentals, other than just t3 units.

i understand that you would have to make it so the other factions have the equal unit, making it even more awesome. id love to see supcom be the first to have a deathstar class unit.

In general, I find it difficult to reconcile "T4/Experimental" and "stealth". When I hear "T4" or "Experimental" I think massive, brute-force, big explosions, in-your-face death machine. Not "stealth".

Well, three points: 1) the Cicada is classified as a "minor" experimental. So I think it would be incorrect to put it at the same level as a Monkey Lord; 2) coming from FA, there are no such things as "minor" and "major" Experimentals. All T4 units are simply "Experimentals". And they are by no means quiet; 3) the Cicada's function is to cloak, not combat.

I don't have a problem with this new unit. I think it's cool. I'm just saying that to me, and perhaps others, "T4/Experimental" and "stealth" seem to contradict each other.

Also, I would suggest renaming the unit in terms of function instead of result. For example (I'm not suggesting to use this, I'm just giving a random example), "sniper" vs "stealth". Being a "sniper" is a specific role that naturally encompasses "stealth".

well, as OverRated stated, experimentals are not only "in your face" power....atlantis submersible carrier didn't deliver any strong punch on it's own, it functioned as a carrier...but a huge one, and especially a stealthy one !
Monkeylords were stealth (from radar that is) in SC1 and SC1:FA, so I can't really understand your argument....

Also in warfare, having a stealthy but strong unit is much more preferable than a huge unit that anyone can see it from another planet, even if it is strong and really armoured.... and as I see it, correct me if I'm wrong, but Cybran is all about:
1)Damage
2)Mobility
3)Utility

and this unit has all these three.... :)
Also if you want something that can wreak endless amounts of havoc, have a look at that thing:

Finally, I'm currently re-working on it, and I doubt if it will be concealed after the remake :P

You are right there though the Monkey Lord is classed as a T5 major Experimental so this unit would be more like a Megalith II.

speaking of huge units, could you put up a megalith and a megalith 2 in the same pic? in the designing, was the megalith 2 actually smaller than the megalith?

and yes, that dragon does look like something classified. id love to see that thing sneaking around at night, lasers everywhere, rockets light up the battlefield, kinda like the first scene in transformers where blackout totally rapefies everything. hmmm....could almost make a movie out of it...lol

Okey, this one is supposed to be an indirect replacement for the Monkeylord...
My concept is that it will be a fast moving (for an experimental that is) bot, that will ambush weak spots (instead of heading towards strong points, that job is for the Strider :P ), and wreak havoc on the enemy, as a diversion or as a weakening/hit &run tactic !
Weapons loadout:
2 Heavy blasters
2 triple barrelled Pulse cannons
2 Long Range Ballistic Missile silos
(possible tail with Microwave cannon added to the back)

so what do you guys think ?
