Omg what kind of nukes does this launch? Have you considered EMP nukes that disable structures/units for some time. This way you could use to disable energy shields and antinuke silos.
Ouch it's true, I did not have the DLC yet so I didn't know about the ''Buhbledow Experimental Shield Destroyer'' (Although that's not a missile, that's a canon). Is there any possibility for cybran and UEF to have something similar? Perhaps in the form of nukes (So these can be taken down by anti-nuke missiles too, and unlike what happens with the Buhbledow Experimental Shield Destroyer you have a chance to defend your base from it.)
oh then it can be taken down by antinukes?
and this is going to sound crazy, but what about a nuke with missile pods on it that can take down incoming anti-nuke missiles? It would be the hardest nuke to destroy.
It can't be taken down by anything.
It bypasses and disables all shields in a large area, which then have to recharge as if they'd taken enough damage to break.
It first requires that it be manually charged up, spending a few thousand energy, like a nuke silo must have nukes manually built.
At the end of the charging phase, you fire it manually as you would a nuke at an opponent with no anti-nukes.
Each Buhbledow structure can only hold 1 charge.
Nukes also technically function as Stun weapons anyway, at least, they did in vanilla, can't remember if it still does.
Anything that survives - unit or structure alike, even an ACU - is stunned for a few seconds and can't move or fire.
Finally! Because building standard nukes ain't enough... :D
Curious though, since standard nukes cost 90 or so research points, will you expand the research limit from 99 to like... 999 in the GUI? That way, I'm thinking this Exp. Nuke Launcher will more likely need it. xD
so this is like the yolona oss from forged alliance?
what this looks like to me
a plasma cannon that acts as a nuke weapon, can only be built underwater due to the heat generated from charging, and since its a cannon and not a launcher, the ball of plasma flies way faster than a normal nuke. it would also throw water everywhere when firing, the recoil would shove the eight panels back down to the starting position. the water thrown everywhere would reveal the cannon for a few seconds.
but this is probably just going to be a big nuke missile launcher. what makes it unique? is it just bigger and more damage than other nukes or?
this is one of the very few times ive negated points from your comments. but "just a big *** nuke" sounds as bad as the names given to aeon units. its bad even for a basic description. just a big *** nuke. nobody wants just a big *** nuke. i understand this is a balance mod but cmon it couldnt hurt at all to make it have some special ability. its a huge awesome looking vertical launcher. saying its just a big *** nuke is like censoring the model. a big *** nuke wouldnt look as cool as this does.
It would make sense for this to be based on the Yolona Oss. The Illuminate has other units in the vanilla game that are based on Seraphim units. The Yenzoo hover tank, for example, is based on the Seraphim's Yenzyne T2 heavy tank.

OP will the UEF should make the exp shield block nukes and have a recharge while cybran have that redirection nuke thing so their fine but equal out the playing field guys
Very nice^^
something tells me running isn't gona save you now >:D

dude, the aeon already have one of those lol
LMAO have you been under a rock O_O

I don't know where you read its a cannon buts its a EMP NUKE. Supcom2.wikia.com

no or you would run out of anti-nukes when you really need them.
BOOM!
Hehehe...did you get this line from the unit wiki?
YO II, here we come...
Yup. That Wiki was awesome! :D

No need in 2.0 things will be cheaper but income will be less.
Avitus, please make a render of this! PLEASE!!! :)
very nice as always

that would be pretty interesting
fairly sure this will be just a big *** nuke...
Kinda wish you could make a cluster nuke launcher....

But Aeon Buildings already have a hover upgrade

is this a Yolanna Oss remake (i know this has been asked often) when yes how much must it fire to take down a GOD lvl XP
and it looks so small i would think of a mobile nuke luancher with teleport ability 12 sec charge time and 45000 energy costs and 3,5 minute cooldown
