It's called Residual Decay. A term applied to the collapse in cellular structure of an organism that has been overexposed to the harmful effects of teleportation.
Residual Decay is the third and final chapter in the Jones Saga (Xidia). You play as Jones once again, continuing immediately where Seven Bullets left off.
Saved by the best synthetics medical science can afford, Jones survives his mauling at the hands of the Scarred One. However, he is no longer the man he used to be. Artificial organs replace those lost to his nemesis. A robotic eye witnesses the grim silence of a bittersweet victory. Vicious scars branch out across the face that sold millions of military applications. Teetering on the last leg of a downward spiral, Jones' superiors comfort him with the assurance that the blood of his friend Crowley would not be spent in vain, for the recovery of their data template has saved Inuit's stock for at least the next ten years. Sitting in his cabin, Jones toasts to his dead comrades and drinks himself into oblivion.
An unspecified amount of time later, Jones wakes up. But something is wrong. He finds himself alone on board a vacant starship. While investigating for others, he begins to hear strange noises echoing in the distance. Some of those noises are voices, calling him. Stranger still, segments of the ship stand in front of him that were not there before. Eventually Jones will find gateway portals onboard his ship that take him to different worlds. In order to find out what is happening to him, Jones will have to plunge into unknown dangers that exist beyond the tender fabric of space time. He will have to think, search, and eventually fight his way through insane situations in order to escape this nightmare

As some may have seen on the Battle for Na Pali Mod page (and as suggested by AL), the Demo for Savage Land has been released. This is the converged project based on many of Battle for Na Pali's ideas and salvaged levels from Residual Decay combined into one project. The page can be found here: Moddb.com
This is not an attempt to override BFNP OR RD, but rather a spiritual prequel to what BFNP intended to be AND also preserving content from RD in the process. The ultimate goal is to get this content out there for the community. The Demo, as stated, is live. Two new guns are featured as well as many vanilla adjustments to the basic loadout and some enemies. The Demo has a classic vibe and can be played on both Unreal/Unreal Gold 227i and Unreal Tournament 436 with oldskool.
For those of you who followed the pack's development, check out Savage Land, a new pack in development by Mr.Prophet for Unreal and UT that's going to re-purpose maps and other assets from Residual Decay and Battle for Na Pali. The demo is getting very close to being released.

It has been almost 10 years. Within that period of time I have graduated high school, attended state university, graduated said university, was drafted for military service, got through this service as well, visited certain well-known places of the country, some less-known places of the country, and finally settled down somewhat. And through all that time that has passed, I have waited for any piece of news on that mod, with patience and relentless interest, and yet wait, and shall wait evermore untill either I die, the mod dies or it gets released.
Any news?
Any news so far?
Mr. Prophet give to know what will soon be releasing 3 cards from episode 1 RD (of 3 episodes), most likely they will come out this year
"this year"
Yeah, sure.
Tracking this here and on UnrealSP. Actually busy playing Xidia now and it is very good. Really looking forward to this! Thanks for all your efforts guys and know that you have fans here waiting for this awesome mod.
I can wait for this
this's gonna be awesome
It is reassuring to read the former comments, even if they are dated more than a year ago. I do hope what jetv435 wrote still holds true and the project is not forgotten. Truth be told, I thought it will never see the day of light after so many years. Keep up the good work guys.
So at some point our ModDB will have to be updated to reflect the status of this mod, but I'll drop in here for the time being.
So yeah, progress on Episode 1 is coming along well. The bulk of production (largely mapping) is heavily underway, and once we have enough near-complete content to show off, we will.
Proph also got his new computer sometime last year it seems, so now he has a viable workstation to use for mapping and so on. The amount of internal content we're pushing out has certainly increased, and this may be why. Hopefully we can show stuff off relatively soon, but that's out of my hands. Because we're not forcing content out and hitting big set deadlines, production is very comfortable, and the quality of what we're making is the better for it.
Whether or not some of this content will be communicated publicly soon or kept internal for a time is up to Proph, but man is this a satisfying project to work on.
