An absolute blast from beginning to end. As others have said, this plays like a DLC to RE2 98. You can tell a lot of care and thought was put into this, what with the new animations, models, backgrounds scenes, as well as the routing changes and puzzle adjustments. I went in expecting good things and my expectations were exceeded!

I've been wanting something like this since I've been a kid. Must play mod.

It's the equivalent of a DLC for RE2 (1998). I love it!

It has you backtrack a few times but it is a pretty well made mod all around! Original trilogy and Outbreak Lore-friendly.

Marvin's Mod is the missing DLC of Resident Evil 2 Remake. The walkthrough is nice and the redesign of the 1F corridor before the helicopter crash is really cool.
Too bad it's too easy and the Mob is not very long. Anyway it's a nice tribute to our good old Marvin. Great job! 8/10

First, some minor issues:

- I can't remember at what exact part, but midway through the game my music volume was strangely cut in half, or even less. I could barely hear it at all. I feel like it started when the rooms started to change via backtracking. I'm not really sure though
- The files being the same as the original with the 09/28 date in the one operation report presents some "immersion breaking" consistency issues. I know this is minor and maybe others haven't really noticed. But just to throw it out there. Maybe there's a way to remove them?
- Fairly often, the second player wouldn't play a sound when shooting. Notably being outside by the crows or dogs, but also in the one hallway by the magic mirror I believe. I don't know how well it could be worked on, but it was heart attack inducing having the 2P run directly at you as soon as you enter a room haha. I don't know if there's some way to change their starting point when you enter a room, but man it scared the pants off me a number of times when she was just sprinting at me as soon as the room loads!

Minor issues aside, this was a really cool mod that played pretty much like an official release. I loved the Easter eggs around the game, both related to official canon, and to fan games... from the prison cell being open with Ben and giving him the key, to running into police officers that have actions either later in this game or in others, to Kevin name dropping During The Storm... this was really well done, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time on it. I liked how the Outbreak cutscenes tied in, for example, making the lobby statue move... I didn't expect that. The rooms without the helicopter damage were really well done, and were awesome to see; they blended in so well I had to do several doubletakes! It's been added to my canon story playlist. Thanks so much for these mods that are not only exciting gameplay wise, but continually add to the story of the whole franchise!

Such an amazingly fun mod, much much more enjoyable than Mortal Night and doesn't overstay its welcome IMO. 10/10

Truly a master of RE modification. Aydan really knows how to balance everything from atmosphere, storyline, innovation, difficulty, etc. Simple, elegant, really fun to play.

Awesome mod!

Some very well thought out ideas, very well balanced in a "though but fair" way, with plenty of ink ribbons to booth.

It's probably a bit easy for hardcore fans (which I assume it's the majority of the target demographic for a mod like this) but I'm happy with the balance,as it doesn't need to alienate possible newcomers to make a great mod.

I've finished with decent amounts of health and ammo, so I'm looking forward to try hard mode later today.

I wonder if there are any new boss battles on Hard, since the mod description says "battles", in plural, but I only seem one. I don't blame the lack of more bosses, because it's made in a way that makes Marvin's story plausible and connects with the OG games, but it felt a bit weird to not encounter something that drains my stockpile of health and ammo near endgame.

The "under the hood" changes and stuff that is not normally supported on the original game is very impressive, I wonder if people will take all that work for granted, but It's really cool. The respawning rooms, NPC conversations, pré-helicopter crash corridor/heliport, all very cool, and this is supposed to be done by hex editing? Damn, impressive!

If I'm nitpicking, it somewhat annoys me when the ingame items are not the same as the inventory, with exception for RE3 items, but at least a couple of keys are like this.

Not discounting any points for my nitpicky nature though, it's a 10/10 through and through and a must play for every classic RE fan.

Amazing mod! I enjoyed playing with Marvin character in the R.P.D. scenarios killing zombies, cerberus, lickers or surviving like the old school Resident Evil style and it connects so good with the Resident Evil canon story. Always wanted to know how was the Marvin situation in the police department... So, this mod allows you to experience it!
