Progress Report? On Schedule!!! news - Republic at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

We are pleased to share that we are on schedule for our planned release in December. We have streamlined the testing process, as well as some other production techniques that are speeding things along. We hope to have the Beta version in the hands of the testing team by early December, Mid December. By popular request, there will be a "Order 66" campaign in the final version of the mod. Also, we are still planning on a full Single Player Story Campaign but that will be released as a Expansion to the mod. We will also be adding in some units that our fans are asking for but that we had to cut from the the mod due to time constraints, and or lack of purpose for them. Units like the CIS Crab Droid, Grapple Droid, UT-AT, AT-XT, etc will be in the expansion as well. Many people have been asking questions about the ARC Troopers in our forums. I hope we can clear up all the confusion over how they will function in game, and what they will do. The ARC Troopers will come in a squad of 5. They will have unique armor based on rank. So yes, there will be a ARC Captain in each squad. The ARCs will carry the Westar M5, and not the DC-17 Carbine as reported earlier. One ARC in each squad will carry the Z6 Rotary Cannon. You will only be able to build 4 ARC Squads at any one time in the game. This will balance things out a bit. Sadly, there will be no counter to the ARCs and that deadly Z6. CIS Players will have to do what the CIS would have done. Overwhelm them with sheer numbers. Also, posted a ton of new images up as well.
