Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
In Republic at War 1.1, some of the planets were scaled incorrectly and some were even in the wrong place. After some detailed researching about the actual planet locations and diameters, we tried to create the galaxy that was closer to canon.

I feel that if you wanted scale planets compared to a galaxy you would probably need to zoom in, a lot.
So obviously for game play the planets are not scale with the galaxy.

That isn't down to the planets themselves but the AI spamming Clone Troopers/battledroids on the planets they owned...

That's a great idea, one of things that annoyed me slightly about FoC was that half of the planets are on the wrong side of the galaxy... awesome.
It looks nice but I hope the travel time isn't ridiculous. For the sake of gameplay, I don't like going for slower speed for the sake of realism.
the travel time is for player and AI the same so you dont need to worry about that. the trade routes you see increase the travel time alot.

So it is possible now to zoom out that far? If yes, Great accomplishment! Will you enable this for battles too? I know you can zoom out in battles and then reactivate the interface but in that case the detail is very poor due to lod.
