Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
A fan sent me a PM asking if we would see droid assembly lines like in AOTC. The answer is yes.. and low and behold I forgot to upload this shot earlier. So thanks for the PM and here is a shot of "one" of the droid production lines on Mechis

Well in relality the war in general is redundant because the *leader* of the republic is also the *leader* of the CIS. The republic becomes the empire and the droids get shut down...

take couruscant for example, if owned by the empire the civilians fight for you, if owned by the rebellion the civilians still fight for you
But many planets have dedicated AI soldiers, I think this should be one, just because the armys gone doesn't mean the CIS isn't still there...

LOL! That's just plain ignorance my friend. The Republic never won battles because of their Jedi generals' leadership, they may have gotten credit for it more often than not, but they weren't the real reason the Republic came out victorious. The Clone Troopers were highly skilled soldiers, far superior to droids. Clones had a 50:1 K/D ratio over battle droids, and more skilled regiments such as the 501st had even higher ratios.
