Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
Just 'controlling' the population
Fried Gungan anyone? mmmm
Seriously why does everyone hate Jar Jar?!?!
I've been that annoying kid (intentionally :D or unintentionally)
I've hung out with people that simply be annoying without meaning too, just cause he's annoying doesn't mean you should hate, its a new galaxy, and every place in the universe will have a form of humor, (except Vulcan)
so he lightens the mood, shows there is still hope and humor to be found, if you can't see it, too bad, just don't hate.
(2 rants in 1 day, phew!)
Lol i don't hate him, I'm just doing the universe a favour by having my spider droid prevent him from having offspring xD
Spock is not amused.
Line 5 of my rant...
(buried)
So you hate rex but like jam jar? O.O ah well each to their own.
jam jar killed Ep1
jam jar rescued the republic... "dello felligets, meesa propose that weesa give emergency powers to the supreame chansolla" so he is responsible for teh clone army in a round about way
He's also responsible for the Empire in a way....
I just don't like him because of what he did to Episode 1. It would have gotten much better reviews if it wasn't for him. All the critics said stuff like "Why is this terrible character (jar jar) in this movie." He is a good character on his own, but he doesn't fit into the movie well.
Lol id still take Rex over jar jar.
Jar Jar rules but he is no cpt Rex
Touching... But I still hate Jar Jar ;)
Because he's one of the most annoying and unfunny characters to ever grace the Star Wars universe.
But then again, I absolutely hated the prequels except for the introduction of the new factions.
I mean, we wouldn't have this mod if it weren't for the Republic.
IMA FIRING MAH LAZOR
Yeah, a laser looks... wide:]
But, this spider is very good!
oh help us were peacefull gungans
you may fire when ready
BOOOOOOOOOM!!!
biglaser
gungan chunks everywere
Yay! Crude humor!
Hey, come on... I liked Jar-Jar... He was the comic relief of the first episode... Second and third was more of R2 and 3PO... Every good trilogy needs a good comic relief...
What's a Spartan laser doing here?
Is the master chief here to?
Halo deserves not to be near the power of Star Wars!
ok im sorry im one of the biggest nerds of starwars, but really, i think halo is equal to star wars in most respects. for example, if you thought the death star/sun crusher was decimating, the halo arrays made them look like a toddlers toy AND left all protperty untouched. and spartan lasers make just about every gun in star wars look like a nerf gun...
First off sorry for posting soooo long after all other here, I just thought I'd add a bit to the Star wars halo argument
I agree that in terms of killing power the halo ring can be much more effective and impressive than the death star, but it is also very limited in it's usage, borderlining making it useless most situations. It is after all little more than a suicide bomb build for a specific purpose. Comparing them is comparing a nuclear bomb to a cruise missile. None of them would work well if they swapped places, that the death star is still a waste of resources compared to a fleet of star destroyers is another matter entirely, whereas the halo array does serve it's purpose well is another story ;).
As for what universe have the most effective weapons in general it is quite hard to tell, except for space combat there is no listings of weapon energy output that I can find (comparing how many vehicles a weapon can cut apart is meaningless if we don't know what kind energy it takes). For space halopedia lists widely different numbers, the upper ones making SW having a small to moderate lead (depending on exact mechanics), the lower ones making SW butcher halo.
Jam Jar?????
do you guys not mean Jar Jar Binks?
I just don't really get why they had to add Jar Jar for comic relief when it's common knowledge that that was the role filled by R2-D2 and C-3P0 in all previous movies AND they were the comic relief AGAIN for Ep 2 and 3 - maybe that's because Jar Jar turned out to be a bad idea but my opinion is they should have left it to the droids all the way - Jar Jar rates right up there with EP 1's Yoda - who the hell signed off on HIM?
that looks like a spartan laser almost
holy mother of [dont know what word i was gnona use]...a composite laser beam finally! brilliant
IMMA FIRIN MY LASER!!
You need a realy big gun??
they are just gungan warriors....
Weiner roast anyone?
