Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Reduction in Range? Well isn't a Problem wehn you have GAZILLION Bombers swarming you, they already go in for Point Blank Range...
So true! In massive space battles, it doesnt matter if they have reduced range or firing rate, as long as they are in huge numbers. CIS has huge numbers of bombers and fighters spawned, while Republic gets more fighters.

Actually, the cis was superior to the Republic in most battles, hell, when i play cis, republic SPAMS with venators, jesus every 5 minutes, ``TATICAL BATTLE IMMINENT`` pls make easier ai

I'd always lure the republic into Venator Swarmng a Space station and then bringing the malevolence in on top of them and killing ALL OF THEM...

In the clone wars these were no match for fighters at all so I assume it will be pew pew..*bomber explodes*
Imagine you're sitting comfortably in your captain's chair, or computer chair... it's the same thing, really, and the space before you fills up with Vulture droids. Your missileboats fire off a salvo at the Vultures and then these things come into view, firing missiles of their own at your fighter umbrella, backed up with blaster fire. Your missileboats fire another salvo, but not before these guys unleash a load of torpedoes at your prized cruiser shield and hangar hardpoints.
Wrong these things excelled at dog fighting also.
I understand its a game and you must take that in account, but in reality these guys had less fighter-to-fighter abilities than the vultures, and 1v1 no vulture could withstand even a green V-19 Pilot.
Really? I thought V19s were a match for them but Vultures could take them on...? Did make it easy though...
In reality,vultures droids would be more than a match for any clone pilot. They had a faster response time and better maneuverability than human pilots, they just couldn't think outside the box. I doubt however that the latter would affect much
really, unlike regular droid bombers i thought these were kinda clumsy(meaning that there slow)

i think all the fighters are to large compared to the other ships it would be much better if there were say 15% smaller or the other ships 15% bigger

I like it but CIS fighters are already horribly over powered. In a space battle the Republic's fighters are no match.

This game is not a friend, is a challenge. Winning is a goal which gives meaning to playing. Passing next steps in game gives us satisfaction, provide fun. That's why we like games.
So your saying the CIS should be able to batter the Republic to death with no hope for the republic player...nice..
I think that cis forces are ok, BUT republic SHOULD get more units in the beginning of every gc. For example in gc with 16 planets republic have one venator, and cis have two providence and 2 lucrehulks (you know what I mean).
Providence should have the same number of fighters like venator and republic should have more venators.

Not so. There has to be a degree of balance or it isn't a war; it's a one-sided slaughter. I had a fleet of 24 v-wings which I flew against a handful of vulture droids. I killed them but was left with 7 V-wings plus loads more vultures were on their way.
In the clone wars, balance existed with the CIS having the large numbers but the Republic was tougher to kill. This does not exist in the current version of the game.
I've done extensive testing; 1v1, Vulture droids drop like flies against V-19s. It's their buzz droids that suddenly give them a deadly edge, and they are easier to mass produce. Solution is simple; don't let your pilots stay in the buzz droids. Engage the vulture droids in separate clumps so they can't mass their buzz droids where all your fighters are.
