Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
Beside the little GUI change i have made, we are trying to abandon all of the old GUI elements. this does not sound like a lot but we want to keep our focus for 1.2 on the more important things.
I know speaking of post 1.2 versions is foolish at the moment but i'd like to inform you that we are planning to review the whole GUI, speaking of colors, scales and positions (simply everything), at some point after 1.2. Some of those things would be like i do not believe that the hero bar can only contain eleven heroes. changing making a change to this would be a great deal in designing our future unit list. but that's just an idea for now. If you have some more suggestions you can share them with us of course via Twitter or here.
Now changing the wasn't the only thing i did today. after what seemed like thousands lines of xml code and even more testing the GC "Core Assault" playing as republic will get a bit more interesting.

Sounds good, its always awesome to completely change the look of a game for a mod, really gets that modded feeling going! Cant wait for the next version! :D

by triggering victory instantly. i don't have time to play a full GC to test something. you guys won't be able to archive that, i'm sure ;)

well this screen does not show up too often and i suppose many ignore it any ways. we just wanted to have our UI unified.
I like it, makes me want to play the mod even more, i hope it wouldn't take much longer, but even so i'll just have to wait for it.
