DEFINITION

A Replica

is a craftable unenchanted copy, genuine or counterfeit, of a "unique" item-a Special Equipment-which is temper-able if the original is.

A Special Equipment

is a vanilla, enchanted, non-craftable item that is unique in appearance and in terms of its rarity. Examples includes the Daedric artefact Dawnbreaker and armour of the Thieves Guild.

METHOD OF ACQUIREMENT

The knowledge on how to craft the Replicas is dotted across the world, commonly found in the form of "crafting books" and near the genuine and/or original item. Some of them may only present themselves after a critical choice or commitment is made.
