That's odd...Why do the textures only appear after the animation ends?

We were going for the RA1 style, where structures are grey/white during buildup. As you can see, some parts receive color before others. It would, of course be nice to hear if people like or dislike it.

Don't really care for it......, I'd much rather see it have at least some basic textures during buildup like their covering in tarps or something for example, but I could live with this.....

i would like covering it with tarps when its a building being built with a crane or something
the animation is great as it is but please add the textures alteast with some ductapes on the corners or something be creative XD
i just dont liek it to be gray, it was ok in 2d but not in 3D

Maybe having the whitish surface at the start that quickly turns into a noticeable but still textureless shade of grey that becomes darker as the rest of the building continues deploying, then the skin turns up.

Desaturation of the original texture whilst the animation is in progress would probably be better, when its nearing its completion the colours for the textures on the building can saturate.

Indeed color desaturation would be much better than just plain white.

What you do not see at this distance is that it is not plain white. The normal map comes in much before the color.

I didn't love it, just looks untextured, and doesn't make any sense at all. The nostalgia part is as much worth as infantry men made up by 8 pixels :P

It could use some texture, not plane grey, mabey shadow effects as building, but defenatly have the textures added after building, for RA1 sake.

I love it but the RA MCV didn't fade-in its textures, only the buildings did that. Not to start a mod war(as I said I love it), but I think the RA MCV unpack animation I made for The Red Alert is more true to the original. I'd also love to know how you made the textures fade-in like that.

Texturing during the unpacking is a bit weird. But the animation itself is AMAZING.
