Renegade X is a mod dedicated to recreating C&C Renegade in the new generation engine, the Unreal Engine 3. We all believe the Command and Conquer series is a very special one, and its fans have been following its games for over a decade now. C&C has been one of the most successful videogame series in the RTS Genre. Our modding team believes that C&C Renegade is truly a hidden gem in the FPS genre. C&C Renegade's specialty was its multiplayer mode, because it was not mindless killing like most games. A player was thrown into a battle as soon as he joined a server, in which teamplay was the only way to win. The game revolves around a war between the Global Defense Initiative, and the Brotherhood of Nod. Each faction would have their own base of operations consisting of buildings. A team had to work together to destroy the enemy base, while keeping theirs intact. Obelisk/Advanced Guard Tower (Base defenses) Without these, your team has no automatic defense. nice, hope to see some good development, but maybe try to create updaters. Would that be possible? Cuz in this way now you have a big bunch of data you gotta download although alot of parts are already working in the old version (if this update changes the whole framework though nvm about what I said). A big pain if you have slow internet (not me,but a lot of people).

Im a huge fan of the new Beta2, but for some reason GDI can buy Orcas on some maps(Islands and Mesa are the only ones i have seen this so far) and it makes me really butthurt to see a beacon on the roof that i cant reach to defuse.
AFAIK Orcas are not buildable on all maps, this is part of the map balance perhapse.
If you press the hotkey for orca on the build terminal menu for vehicles you can buy an orca on maps that have them disabled at the moment. Most servers have it as a bannable offense so its not much of an issue anymore.
