Renegade X is a mod dedicated to recreating C&C Renegade in the new generation engine, the Unreal Engine 3. We all believe the Command and Conquer series is a very special one, and its fans have been following its games for over a decade now. C&C has been one of the most successful videogame series in the RTS Genre. Our modding team believes that C&C Renegade is truly a hidden gem in the FPS genre. C&C Renegade's specialty was its multiplayer mode, because it was not mindless killing like most games. A player was thrown into a battle as soon as he joined a server, in which teamplay was the only way to win. The game revolves around a war between the Global Defense Initiative, and the Brotherhood of Nod. Each faction would have their own base of operations consisting of buildings. *This version of Renegade X obsolete. Please download the latest version of Renegade X under "downloads"* This is the third Renegade X release, available as of November 14th 2009. This requires a legal copy of Unreal Tournament 3 to play. Please note that 0.40 does NOT require any previous versions of Renegade X. If you do have a previous version installed, please go to your My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 folder and delete the "Renegade" folder. Please play online through the Frontend program, and give feedback :) This in no way, shape, or form represents the final version of Renegade X. Treat this as a work in progress.

Sadly that the games main menu is now unreal tournamnet's default one.
Who cares? The old menu caused problems, and it's always been about the game rather than the menu.
Hey Fobby don't suppose you could sort out my RenX account everytime i request a new password and type it in it never works, also if you've got any tips on how to make my RenX last for more then 1 game much appreciated, once I die i respawn with no weapons and a weird stance with non functioning terminals. Looking forward to the standalone by the way

Whenever I launcher either of the downloads the same thing happens, it launches the basic ut3, but this time there r no advertisements that I need to click through. I let the game install itself the way it wanted to, is that the problem?
I think an incremental problem is that this is an older version of the mod. Hence the "OBSOLETE" in the title of the file name.
My advice:
-Get a legit copy of UT3
-Download the latest UT3 patch: Udn.epicgames.com
-Download version 0.5 and not this one
-You must remove any previous versions of Renegade X from your computer. Go to your "My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3" folder, and delete the "Renegade" folder before you install Renegade X 0.5.
-Run the installation to fully install this version of Renegade X.
