Description
The new Plasma heavy base defense for mid/short range anti-everything (ground only). If you stray into it's range it's unforgiving.
looks cool, but a little off on the base.
The pivot point is centered... It looks off in this pic because of the viewing angle combined with the back half of the turret being larger than the front. Once you see it moving it looks right though.
That looks great, I can't wait to see the particle effects of the plasma burst.
Vortex cannon?
Yeah, about 2/3rds of the turret top is a vortex cannon. The silly part is the cylinders in the back are new,but because they are cylinders they still look like the old ones.
I went through about a half a dozen concept versions before I turned to the vortex turret as a starting point.

Wow! Even single Plasma Cannon is outstanding, then, what will happen if they got twin barrels?!
Twin barrels alternate fire between the two barrels... ei: twice the fire rate.
Combine that with the already pretty fast fire rate of plasma weapons (in the current build) and the twin gun here simply shreds ground targets at close range. Most Heavy defenses are effective at long range with very high damage.. this one is short/mid only, so it extremely high damage.
It's range is long enough to get the first shot on standard tanks/vehicles/etc, but any artillery unit out ranges it.
However, Laser general does have dedicated long range defenses with some of the other tech trees. Satellite and Ion are strong examples.

A long time ago, I have played something called Remix 2.29 alpha. It had nice and many models, very weak AI and very similar gameplay.
Is that the same thing, promised Remix 3?
It's much further along in development, but it's the same mod. I've been working on it for a long time now.

Yes, it's really better now... but which generals miss AI? I played versus infantry (chosen by random)and poison GLA and it hasn't AI
btw nice models and gameplay... really lifted my mood after new shockwave disappointment
Airf tank and demo have AI. The next version will have full AI
