Calradia 1050 A.D.: Mercenary Uprising is a single-player mod for Mount & Blade Warband 1.166 and higher. Calradia 1050 A.D. Mercenary Uprising V. 3.0 is built on the following major modifications for Warband: *Diplomacy 4.2. *Pre-Battle Orders and Deployment (PBOD).92 including Formations. *Freelancer 1.51. (with several fixes from Floris 2.55 and some modified code by me). *JacobHinds improved morale and routing system code. *Three added factions (Keltons, Khergiz, and Geroians). *My own modification of troop recruiting including town and castle recruitment and manor recruitment as well as customizable troops and extensively re-worked faction troops. *** The mod also includes several popular OSP kits and codes, including bridge battles, tavern animations, banking, outposts, recruitment from castles, and the salt mine. *** The mod has added a good number of armor, weapons, and horses from various OSPs as well as many of my own work.
These are a few more I have done for the upcoming version.
This is a new Khergiz armor using the native tunic armor mesh.
Hmmm, this has to be my favourite from the new bunch. Not that I didn't like the others, far from it. That colour scheme with this plate pattern just works amazingly well, imo.
I am enjoying your latest version of Sword and Axe. Nicely done. Do I need a certain amount of renown to be able to stay in a town or castle overnight?
I'm super glad you like it!
Nope, not renown. The whole "resting" system has been changed. Now, you cannot stay in castles or towns. You have a couple of different options:
- Rest for 1-5 hours, from the Camp menu
- Buy a set of tools and furs and then, camp in the wilds as long as you wish for, but risk being ambushed
- Go to the inns (of course, only in towns) and rent a room for one night, from the innkeepers
I am not 100% happy with this solution, but I feel it's a step in the right direction, better than the Native way that feels a bit OP (especialy when the player wants to evade bandits or enemy parties and him not having to pay until the evening of each day; in Native, you can very well rest almost the whole day without paying, then take off and do it again later).
Aha,
Thanks for the explainer. I noticed that you changed the resting in your previous version too. Now that you have explained it I like the change. Did you build in a penalty for not resting?
Nope, I didn't think of it. :D
But it sounds like and excellent idea, actually.
