When would you ever want to showcase anything with low settings?
Also, this is a really bad showcase of the Depth of Field shader. This is something one could easily do in an image editing program and doesn't look very impressive.
Maybe try to showcase your DOF in a better way with an object in focus and a larger area around to see it in full effect.
