As the Hind Gunship saw service again some Soviet Commanders however still saw its return as lackluster. The Red Guard had seen this return as being too ... "weak" for their tastes. Soviet Engineers began designs on a much more powerful unit suitable for their vision. The Hydra Transport was the fruits of their labor. Armed with 2x 90mm Auto Cannons and a much higher load of the Missile Pods the Hydra surpasses the Hind in sheer firepower. The Hydra Transport also sports a large cargo hold with which it can transport up to 1 Large Vehicles such as the Apocalypse Tank. This immense firepower however is not without fault as these Weapons are fixed in place to only allow the Hydra to attack ground threats.

P.S. It seems like Mil and Kamov CB mutual project: coaxial rotor design - that allows more acceleration and makes tail rotor unnecessary - is a Kamov's trademark IRL (Hokum aka Black Shark, or Helix), while Hind is a work of Mil.
I uderstand that this unit is just a fiction. Just my guessing :)
