This is the first of your textures I am not completely blown away by... the whole thing looks too grey, and not that it will be visible in-game, but the cockpit's texture is visibly stretched.
I've been behind you 100% on everything thus far, I just think that this one looks a bit bland.

It's has a screen instead of glass,you don't want shattered glass flying around when flying very fastly!
Hmm... kinda looks like a propane tank with wings, especially with that circular structure on the back end. Doesn't exactly scream high-tech fighter to me but I guess people in the 1960s had different ideas on what high-tech looked like.
That's actually exactly the idea. It's high-tech in the classic rocket-ship way, not the bleeding-edge angles, cutaways and needless glows of todays sci-fi.
The stretching is the old unwrap. It will re-unwrapped.
