A game called Altitude is free for trial this weekend and 50% off on Steam: and I recommend at least trying it. Basically, its a class-based 2D dogfighting game: complete with the planes slowing down when ascending, speeding up when descending, and stalling. The most popular game modes are team and objective based: getting a ball into a goal and bombing an enemy base with a bomb that must be picked up. Each plane has a primary and a secondary weapon as well as a boost: which all use the same recharging ammo bar. The game is easy to start playing while holding a large amount of depth in fighting and team-work. The game also has perks for added customization and special one-use items that can be picked up: like a missile that fires in a straight line and an electrocuting trap you can leave behind you. |
