Battlefield reconnaissance has revealed at least these facts about the Plague Drone:
• The namesake: The Plague Drone is armed with a desolator canister launcher, each shell contaminating the ground below it. Due to the size of the drone and weight distribution in order for it to fly properly, the ammo for the weapon is limited, so it must rearm itself back at the airfield.
• Bringer of disease: Already, its use in battle has caused quite an impact in the morale of enemy troops . For the soldier that is ill-equipped to deal with such a threat, it is more or less a death sentence. As fellow soldiers watch their brothers in arms die a horrific, agonizing death, their skin and bones melting into a pile of goo, it has gained a reputation of both fear and hatred.
• Departing from combat: While not approaching the speeds of your average jet aircraft, it is still quite fast and can catch up to targets. When ordered to return to base, it can boost its engines, giving it a quick burst of speed.
• Cracked shells: The Plague Drone does not have that much armor, nor can it attack aerial targets. Furthermore, the desolator shells do nothing against vehicles. Against anything with decent AA, it becomes a giant target.
