shouldn't Napalm one leave some flames on the ground, it's about burning after all.
as a name i'd propose smt like Bombardier.

Good point for the flames.

As for the name, Bombardier was my second option. It's probably a better fit. I'll think about it.

The Iron Particle specialist looks like it'll be a friendly fire nightmare to deal with; I might not even bother using it for that function. Its area-denial capabilities are useful though- it looks like its AoE damage is more potent than even radiation. Overall the nuke specialist seems like the obvious best choice here of the lot, with napalm being circumstantial at best. Not really a complaint though, excited for this unit regardless. These will really make China a lot of fun to play as.

Edit: One way of making the Iron particle a bit more appealing would be to make the AoE damage timed the same as the invulnerability, so that your targeted unit will not suffer AoE damage after the fact if they remain in a standing position. It'll still require micro not to kill friendlies in blobs.

The Iron Particle Specialist is not meant to be used on your own units. Since there's a lot of friendly fire in RA20XX (because most explosive warheads have an AoE), the Iron Curtain effect is a nice bonus for a dynamic that already exist and will most likely happen anyway. However, the few second of Iron Curtain gives the player the choice to either a) push forward with its invicible units or b) fall back so that enemy units go in the AoE themselves. I have more plans for this tech in the future.

Also, this units is available to all Soviet subfaction, not only for China ;) Thank for your comment!

I assume a group of napalmers would destroy any infantry advances

And is very good against fortifications.

Description

To give more purpose to the multiple T3 building available for the Soviets, I've decided to add a new infantry. The Specialist is a long range unit and its weapon will change depending on the kind of Bureau build by the player.

From left to right :

-Napalm Specialist : good versus buildings and light target, it is equipped with a napalm motar launcher which has a larger AoE, can easily damage buidings and can clear garrisonned building.

-Nuke Specialist : heavy damage dealer, it is equipped with a portable nuke launcher. While devasteting, its death zone is smaller and has a low reload time.

-Iron Particle Specialist : this unit uses weaponized Iron Curtain technology, a breakthrough in warfare according to russian scientists. Friendly units hit by this particle launcher will gain invulnerability for a few seconds, while foes will suffer moderate damages. However, the weapon will leave particles on the ground that will gradually damage any units or building for a few seconds.

More on those units will be revealed soon. The unit's name is subject to change.
