RECOIL is a multiplayer modification for Half-Life. It is based on two terrorist factions who are both fighting for the same objectives but hold different beliefs.
Objectives include hacking into government(or similar) information systems, capture of weaponary/equipment/intelligence information and kidnapping of senior officials.
Whilst the two factions fight against each other there are also security systems which may have to be bypassed. For example by protecting the switch to a door leading to the computer terminals one team may be able to hold up the opposition whilst their hacker heads to the computers in relative safety. Teams will need to use stealth and teamwork to overcome their opponents and any other obstacles they may meet.

“In the year 2009 the terrorist group known as Recoil has split up into two groups of terrorists fighting to spread their ideas. KATO, Kill All that Oppose, use large amounts of firepower to get their point across, whereas the SFA, Society For Advancement, use their brains instead of weapons. You the player can take either side as they struggle for complete dominance and the ability to control the world and run it as they see fit. The only question that remains is, which side will you join?”
