Rebel Operations is a total conversion modification of the highly-acclaimed game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Consisting of cooperative multiplayer, Rebel Operations will provide players with the experience of fighting as the elite special forces of the Empire or the Alliance. Players will be immersed, as they reenact infamous missions in as diverse locales as the Death Star or Echo Base, and fight alongside familiar personnel with realistic weapons, devices, and equipment.

Gameplay is co-op multiplayer with a first/third-person shooter style given a role-playing twist, with players taking on the role of elite commandoes given impossible missions. The select group will have assignments such as infiltrating an enemy sector, completing an objective, and making it out alive, while all enemy forces in the area try to stop them. Conversely, they may be given the task of holding back an assault force, giving friendly personnel time to evacuate. Players must be prepared for anything, as that is often what they get. The small player-controlled team will be able to approach each situation as they feel fit; stealthily or forcefully, directly or covertly, as a group or solo; it’s their choice.

Official maps are based on the events from the signing of the Corellian Treaty to the signing of the Peace Accord, however community mappers will be able to create whatever they wish in a map. The official maps will be made as accurate as possible from information on hand, while many new areas will also be included and created to the best of our assessments. For the most part, maps will not be “linear”, but rather having multiple approaches to different situations.

The mission load-out screen will allow players to select their character, weapons, and equipment for the upcoming mission. Players will be able to choose from a diverse number of personnel to play as, each with their own unique abilities. Once chosen, the player will most likely continue on with that same character, upgrading him throughout the nonlinear game, however players will have the choice of creating a new character at any time. Then players can load up on weapons and equipment. Items are derived from nearly every source available. They cost nothing to equip, but naturally each piece of equipment has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some characters may be able to choose items unique to only them. Savvy players will select their inventory based on their style and/or their character’s style, since abilities may favor certain weapons and roles. At the end of a mission, players will be able to train their character in new or improved skills. The more experience gained in a mission, the more the character advances.

Rebel Operations is a mod that certainly stands out from others. We hope that Jedi Knight series fans will become engrossed in fighting for the freedom of the galaxy with Rebel Operations

Down But Not Out

News

Our site may be offline presently, but we haven't closed up the project. Far from it actually, I was just ready to release some new images when I got back from vacation before I got on and saw it wasn't up. From what I gather, the site went down within the first few days of April and hasn't been up since. I'm still waiting a reply to my multiple e-mails as to the cause and how it's going to be fixed, but it's really out of my hands. Just wanted to let the concerned fans know we haven't quit and I'm doing everything I can to get it back up and running.

Wow, the models look great! BTW, how is your site going with the recent stuff at Oktagone (do you have to pay for hosting now or what)?

Now that the gallery feature is up and working, I decided to make use of it, so I uploaded a few shots. Not much different from what's on the site though, but content is content I suppose.

Well, the most recent change was the Help Wanted request. We've lost a good majority of the team over the past few months, so we need people desperately. Other than that, I just try to keep making regular changes to remind people we are still here. Maybe someone will find us and join, who knows.
