2700 is a hefty amount of polygons. Don't you think that might lag the game down if you add more with tracks?

the game can handle 2700 polygons easily but i am not sure it can take 40 of these without lag. Therefore, the polygons will be decreased to 1700 max with the tracks and everything.

I heared that SAGE could handle this, the main cause of lags is the pathfinding.
At lest it is what I have heared..
Look at the CCU models, they are very detailed and those units can still be spammed

what exactly do you mean by pathfinding, is it the AI? I experimented a lot with the AI. AI scripts are the major cause of lag in Zerohour. The AI in this mod will use all the known methods to eliminate AI lag. AI can lag for several reasons, i will document them later. For now, tank and aircraft modeling requirements or guidelines are documented in the forums.

Yes, I meant the AI.
But if you make your Mod realistic, there my not be as many units on the field, spamming may be obsolete.

2.5k poly model with 1024x1024 textures, runs absolutely smooth with no lag of any kind. This is quite impressive given that the unit spams projectiles and particle effects like crazy...

This is the T-80BV variant but it is missing some key details. One such detail is the fording equipment. You can see a blueprint of the T-80BV here:

I will implement the fording equipment soon. The rest of the details will be left for the texturing work. Any other suggestions regarding what should be implemented in modeling?

The NSV(T) HGM I would also suggest that should be implemented.

It's missing the NSV(T) Heavy Machine Gun.

Polygons = 2700, will increase a little bit when machine gun and tracks are added. Anyone wants to texture it?
