Hello RC fans and other visitors,
We are proud now to delight you with some of our latest and hard-worked units of our mod, but first let's take a tour of the History of this mod.
At the start this mod was made for fun, and contained lots of material that were made in a way which was not really appealing to the public. It was not based on the famous Lord of the rings book or movies at all, even though it was using the BFME engine. If we look back at the older releases we see nothing we see now. What was fun turned out to be talent so it needed to be developed in something more serious. So day by day the RC Mod got better and better, more people joined and more people kept an eye on it.
It was a moment when the team decided they should have more LOTR-lore in the mod. The development of the LOTR faction was fast and big and soon the RC mod added all the possible factions in Middle-Earth. Soon, after seeing this huge succes with the factions, the leader (Ridder Geel) decided to remove all the non-lotr factions or replace them.
From that point onward the previously removed Acosa and Vandas were removed for good, and the Ridder Clan was being transformed into Arnor!
So over the last 2 years, the mod had turned into a fairly serious project. The Team's motto has always been "Make what the Fans want", and this will not change. We have decided that the name of the mod is to remain the Ridder Clan Mod, even though the Ridder Clan is no longer a faction. The name now refers to us, the Ridder Clan (Development Team).
To conclude this small history, we have decided that the thing fans want the most is Lord of the Rings, as it was meant to be, the way J. R. R. Tolkien intended.
So after that boring introduction let's get the barrel rolling!
So a first unit we have is a Wood elf. Tall, proud and beautiful, in his shining bronze armor is the Galadhrim War-ready elf. He who joined the Battle of the Helm's Deep, now protects the borders of their home against the moving enemies.
In the RC Mod, the Armored Galadhrim will serve as mini-heroes, will have multiple abilities, plus switch between bows and swords.
The second unit is from Gondor. The soldiers of Gondor are knows for their courage and their armor shines in the sun atop the seven levels of Minas Tritih. But the Kingdom of Gondor is large and there are fouler places these soldiers must face.
In the RC Mod, The Goldor Soldiers serves as a basic infantry unit, having several upgrades and making the Gondor army proud.
The third unit is from Gondor as well. As their watch never stops and their guard of the White Tree never ends. The Fountain Guards are one of the most beautiful units in Middle-Earth. As they hold hope for The Return of the King, they also draw weapons in time of War.
In the RC mod, The Fountain Guards serve as elite units, strong but expensive and a very important asset in the Gondor Army.
We hope you liked our update and hopefully we will have more soon.
