WARNING!!! Due to some Dropbox policies changes the launcher cannot download the files for the mod with this version. Instead go for V3.01 Full Installer!!! Sorry for the inconvenience. This is the latest installer for The Ridder Clan Mod. The Installer is as simple as it can be, change the installation path to where you want the mod to be installed, and press install, the installer will take care of the rest! It downloads the required files for the mod to update itself to the latest version, and creates the foundation for the mod to be installed on. If you encounter any problems feel free to contact us on Revora or here on ModDB! (Updated, no longer requires DLL's and also works on Windows XP)

all ok, but when I try to open the ridder clan shortcut and press lunch the game it says

Try the RotWK cd, otherwise download the singleplayer files or use the RC Mod CD in the downloads section ;)
sorry but I don't understand smthg here.. I've already downloaded Rc mod vr 3.. where is the singleplayer ..do you mean the main rc mod in 1.06 vr (in the download section, or it's somewhere else ).. I have rotwk '' the special edition'' how can I use it to play the rc mod ..?
If you have the ROTWK CD you can simply use it to play the mod.

RC Mod is an expansion to ROTWK, so if you use the ROTWK CD, it will also be used by RC MOD. You start RC MOD and NOT ROTWK.

You need ROTWK disk but you can use the RC MOD Singleplayer files or image instead.
I downloaded the preloader and it seems to have downloaded the files properly. When I run the launcher and click "Launch Game", it brings up a menu and then nothing happens and it closes. So I got the singleplayer files and put them into the game folder and run those files and the launcher (not at the same time) and neither of those worked. I also tried having the RC mod CD mounted and it had the same result, and I also had the ROTWK CD mounted and still it does not work. Help! I really wanna play this mod. It seems really fun. I have Windows 8.1 if it helps

Hello, About your RC MOD Installation problem,try running the V2.00 Fix from our download section and then try copying game2.dat from the original BFME2 game into your game mod folder. Alos running the exe as Administrator.

Hello, download the V3.00 Launcher from our download section, install and wait for the mod to download then run the V2.00 Fix from our download section and then try copying game2.dat from the original BFME2 game into your game mod folder. Also run the exe as Administrator.

Thx for the link (for information, it don't work with edge, I use Firefox for download it).
I extract and copy the files in the game directory (where the file multiplayer is too), but don't work, when I launch the file single player, I have a black screen for 1 min and the process close himself. The file multiplayer work, but I don't have the good DVD.
I'm on Windows 10, and I have do the update of visual C++ files package 2013, if that can help you find an issue ;)

I doubt my comment will be noticed but I've downloaded the mod and copied over the game2.dat but I'm having a lot of problems. Firstly, Campaign doesn't load, good or evil on any difficulty. Secondly, my game crashes during a skirmish once the game has ran for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Any help towards fixing these issues would be great. Also It doesn't much different from vanilla. Fortresses look the same so there is something I'm missing.
True most things are the same as vanilla, except the elves are quite different. As for the death upon 3.5 minutes, go to:
"..\Ridder Clan\The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-Earth II - RC Mod\game\Support" and run the "The Battle for Middle-earth II - RC Mod_code.exe" and enter your BFME 2 serial. That should fix it, this is a problem that tends to occur if for some reason the installer did not get administrator rights.
hey,i wanted to test it out,but when i got ingame (After copying the game.dat files from rotwk) ,i came ingame and besides the music,it was rather empty,two character creation options and no real options for playing.
i have a feeling something messed up,mind giving me a fix-walktrough for dummies?

Also you should copy the game2.dat from BFME 2, not ROTWK :) (not that this makes a difference with what you saw)
i tried with bfme 2 and it didn't even run...only worked with the rotwk
anyways,yes,i was talking about the create a hero section,the skirmish area is pretty empty and in the create a hero ,there is one premade test character and 2 possible creatable ones with limited options (male elf and female human),don't know if the project is very early in production or if i messed up,but i originally downloaded for a review and to test it out =P
Well its not really early in production, but due to several problems we have run into along the way we have had several setbacks and we have had to rewrite the entire mod's codebase. Which is why so many things may seem lacking..
It is odd though that you are unable to play a map. If you play one that has the 'voting' system the screen will be black and you will need to chose what kind of mode you want to play it via the buttons that should be in the center of the screen.
Hey I downloaded the installer and ran the launcher it downloaded the mod but I can't see any of the files it has downloaded and when I run the launcher it just says that the mod is up to date and closes.

Are you people kidding me? WTF... Are you telling me there is not one entirely safe fix for this crappy bug?
I mean, what is this! The Launcher took forever to download stuff (consuming almost all my phone data in the process) and then, when it looked like it was all done and good, the damned "Launch Game" bloody button won't do nothing!
I've clicked it like 100 times by now! Please guys, come on, I want to try the mod but this... This is almost too much! (And I know I am overreacting 'cause this is a free product and all, but still! How are we supposed to try the thing and give you feedback in the first place!)
Sorry for the problems you encountered. We haven't heard of this issue before. You can try to find the Updater exe in the mod's folder and manually run it. Hope this helps.
Also can you tell us what files are in your game folder?
Hello. =) The night has passed and it's a new day. =) I am cool, I am cool... Haha OK so, sorry for all that ranting, I was kind of on the edge since I had spent all my data plan and a bunch of hours but OK... I did already go into the mod folder (I hope you mean this one, the RC one) and ran it from there, ran all things from there.
I did the V 2.00 fix, the single player files, the independent launcher, the RC DC and... yeah, those 4 options. None worked. so, all those files are in my folder (even the CD) and the original ones. I'll tell you in a moment. have to tell you also, the V2.00 fix screwed things up; somehow managed to delete patch 3.02 and took me all the way back to patch 2.00... I had to download 2.80, then 3.00 as of now and 3.02 is still waiting for me I guess.

No. After you download the updater, it should automatically download the latest version.

Depends, the mod is not fully out yes, it is still in BETA. For the moment there are High-Elves almost completed and vanilla factions because the mod was recoded some time ago.

I've copied "game2.dat" to the RC location. But when I launch the game I get a notification that I need to insert the ROTWK dvd.
However, this is already installed on my pc (for I play the Edain Mod as well).
Could somebody help me out?
... or is the solution pretty much the same as the one given to Jimmypage1 a while ago?
Update: I've tried to use the manual singleplayer launcher from your Dropbox file, after I've put them in the RC mod filemap.
Still the same notification however...

The original CD works only if it's the ROTWK one.
