In Rebellion, you play as Mandella, colonel in the Confederation, a powerful military force. At the beginning, you explore the mothership as you're asked by admiral Spade to attend your briefing. You'll discover that you're part of the first attack wave sent to storm Tor29, a little colony lost in the Nephele system. Accompanied by your best friend, major Threepwood, you'll face an oddly weak resistance. Why does the Confederation unleash its wrath on a colony that is clearly of no match? What hides behind this conflict driven by doubtful justifications? These obscure reasons are not to please you and Threepwood. Will you carry on following blindly an authority fouled by power and arrogance? Or will you break your former links and embrace a cause that seems fairer to you, however desperate it may be? Maybe these are favourable times for... Rebellion.
This patch fixes most issues related to engine branch incompatibility and is designed to run using the latest "Beta" of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. Instructions on how to install and use it are within the archive.
If you have any questions related to this patch, please let me know.
Criticism & suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Glad to see you back.
@Fast_Train
Thank you.
The patch works very well. Many thanks.
Best regards, Oliver
Yes, one of my favourite.
Sadly I can not get any of it to work. With me most, if not all mods, make a folder with in a folder of itself with the same name, but nothing else in that folder minus the folder with all textures, maps, etc., be it HL1 mods or even HL2. I generally have to open the main folder of the mod and then click and drag to the folder it was initially installed in. So for this game the folder would look like SourceMods/Rebellion/Rebellion. I click and drag and just make it SourceMods/Rebellion.
For this game at first it would show loading with a fuzzy background title screen which I believe is normal, but then with purple and black checkered background. After doing a little tweaking I could get it to go to start a new game screen, but there was no actual way to start it. I think it was trying to show me level/map selects, but there was just that dull screen with no choices. I tried adding the patch and nothing more good came about it.
Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Right now it says something about no wide screen vtf or something or other. But I downloaded that patch as well for wide screen fix, but it does not seem to be working either. I am not sure if I have to move them a certain way or not inside the other folders or what.

Is it possible that you did not overwrite all files while you were applying the patch?
This type of situation could occur if you would still play with the unmodified original game mod gameinfo.txt and you did not replace it correctly with the one from the patch.
Late comment. Whens 2? because the story of this is very intersting.
@Donald_duck2
Please bear in mind that I am not the author the mod. I only made a patch to make this mod playable using the Source engine 2013 branch.
If you wish to have more information, I recommend that you email the mod author.
