Built upon the modified version of Source known as Absynthe, Quantum Reflux strives to be fresh and unique take on the Half-Life 2 beta universe, combining elements from retail, Valve's original design documents, and our own ideas into something truly special.
The project is planned to showcase a 5-6 hour long story-mode featuring returning gameplay mechanics, characters, weapons, and enemies from both Half-Life 1 and the leaked beta.
This is not a beta recreation; should you come in expecting this, you will be severely disappointed.

Making mods about recreating the half-life 2 beta is kinda like beating a dead horse at this point
Making mods is kinda like beating a dead horse at this point, so many people have done it before, why should anyone bother? Get with the times modders!
Papasifis by that logic I guess making games and writing books are too "beating a dead horse." because so many other people have done them.
If we go by KADONN's logic, then yeah, regrettably so.

Yeah, the only one that really seems to have any chance of truly accomplishing its goal and being worth playing is "Raising the Bar Redux".
Holy **** I apparently stepped on some very angry toes. Sorry, I didn't know about Dark Interval, I only really knew about RTBR.
dark interval
Why are you booing me? Im right.
No, you're not. First, it doesn't matter when a certain mod is made. If it's well made and it's fun for the makers to be making it, so be it. Second, we're in the middle of beta mod resurgence. More people learn about it and learn better skills necesasary to make better content.
