WHAT IS THIS?

“QC: Doom Edition” is a mod that brings the weapons from the latest Quake game, into Doom, with delicious pixelated flavor. More than just weapons, it also brings the “Champions” mechanic -- different player classes, each one with unique status, speed, active and passive abilities

Did you know that the primary point of balance for any of the champions, is trying to making sure they're balanced for duel. Duel is such a tremendously competitive mode, where every aspect of a champion gets exploited to the max, to get an advantage over your adversary.

As such, we're always very interested to see how players adapat and use the tools they're given in this mode, and having anothe duel tournament is a win-win-win

Developers win: By learning how the players use these tools, and finding the real bad exploits

I have a problem, i'm trying to increase the armor absorption (because i don't like dying with 150+ armor on board)
And i've changed the savepercent values in the HealthArmor decorate file
And it works, until my armor goes to 0 at any point during my current life, which afterwards it reverts to behaving normally when i pick up more
Is there another location where savepercent is mentioned/modified?

Despite that, i love this twist of a mod, would recommend

Okay nevermind figured it out as i almost always do
Apparently when i use the give command, it ignores QCDE's "Replace" code in the healtharmor folder, so it uses the original doom's armor
And to fix that i had to edit Zandronum's own doom armor, which i backed up prior to editing of course
(I also realize this problem occurred because i was using an armor regen script i made, which used armorbonus, i could fix it if i wanted easily by just replacing armorbonus with qcarmorbonus, but i'd rather have it at a one armor point per give command)

excellent mod, if you think of adding more characters could choose to add Master Chief of the halo saga or Snake of the saga Metal gear solid, Isaac of Dead space or the character of Crysis

A suggestion for your next character if you plan to do one:

Petton Everhail from the Catacomb 3D series.

I think it would be really cool to add him into the mix, maybe make his special him firing a barrage of fire balls, such as one of the powerups use to do.

Just an idea.

Is there a way to play with more than 3 bots? i want to play with 7 bots. but when I join the game, all the bots leaves the game. Except for 3 bots. This didn't happen in D4T and Q4LFMDE. I use Doomseeker to create a server for multiple mapsets and random mapcycles.

Yes. Bots aren't smart at all. They dont go to pick weapons, or items. When we had bots without good weaponry, it was a "starting MG" arena fight 24/7. It was really boring.

So, we gave them weaponry so that they can at least provide some degree of challenge and variety.

No. This mod isnt about having different weapons. You'd have better luck with Samsara.

There's already a DN monster pack, but the creator hasnt uploaded it to moddb
