!!UPDATE!!
It seems a user is experiencing problems with using the mod on Mac OSX. I have no idea whether this is an OS problem, or a mod problem but since I made the mod on Windows Operating Systems I have no idea how to fix it.
If you use this mod on Mac OSX and happen to find a way to fix it email me please thankyou!

I really wish this mod came with some documentation, or at the very least preconfigured autoexec.cfg and Quake4Config.cfg files. There are about a million different ways to configure the rendering engine, it would be nice if you knew what settings achieve the visual result you were going for when you created the mod and shared that.
Using my existing configs (which work fine with other mods) I can see triangles popping in and out constantly, right from the intro sequence with the dead guys in space. Their armor is also so reflective it looks like it's coated in glass.
My fault? Probably. But how will I ever know? No documentation, no configs, IDC how great you think your mod is, if you can't include these basic things to get it up and running as intended, it's not a good release.
An improvement over vanilla. Slightly difficult to describe changes, as some elements are noticeably better and others not e.g. door textures are still a bit grim.
Think there's real time lighting going on. Lots more light & dark. The lighting somehow seems sharper too.
Have yet to test sikkmod and hidef textures. thought the 4x AI textures weren't that good and install is simply massive (27GB).
this is a tidy 118MB when installed.
Works great on win 7 64bit with Q4670k and 1060 6GB. Running on 1920x1080, on ultra textures and with antialiasing x8
Be aware - don't change the FPS sync mode (otherwise engine runs ludicrously quickly lol)

Xonotic is just like this (concept wise). Nexuiz was completely modified quake 2 engine and Xonotic pused it even furthur.
I have to say, Xonotic is much better than Nexuiz and Nexuiz is much better than Quake 2 (graphics wise).
Correction, Nexuiz and Xonotic are based on the Quake 1 engine, not Quake 2.
