This is new version of quake2xp engine.
AMD Radeon cards work with new november adrenalin drivers now.
Use a clean installation. Unzip archive into folder with original game without previous versions of q2xp or other mods. Owners of Creative audio cards can remove openAl32.dll from the game folder. The renderer requires full support for OpenGL 4.5 with GL_ARB_bindless_texture and GL_ARB_texture_storage support.

where is the log file?
its easy to install it. just drop the quake 2 game files the pak files 0 to 2 in to your baseq2 quake folder. Then use the Quake2xp.exe to run the game. its literally that simple.
same thing here, i used a clean maximum installation from the CD and put the mod into the same directory, but it freezes in the loading screen in "outer base", and i tried with the discord .exe with the same result
I'm tired of saying that to understand the problem I need a game log. I am not a telepath. And to me from the phrase "does not work, what should I do?" already want to puke. I don’t know, maybe the computer doesn’t fit the configuration, or maybe the questioner’s hands grow not from the shoulders, but from the ***.

Man, did you just do everything according to the instructions? I just installed the game and rolled up the archive from above - everything works exactly like a Swiss watch
Is it possible to play the quake 2 expansions pack with this? and if so how to do that? anyway this new version runs better then the older version. better menu and the HD weapons are a great touch as well. didnt had that in the last version for some reason.

Сразу после загрузки уровня "Ammo Depot", при попытке сохраниться "F2" - игра вылетает на рабочий стол, и потом невозможно загрузить любое сохранение, при нажатии "F3" - сразу вылет. До этого уровне всё работает правильно. Временно пока игру удалил, лог-файл не сделал. Windows 10 2004, GeForce 2070 RTX. Большое Вам спасибо за прекрасную работу, очень нравится Ваша модификация Quake 2.

Да Вы правы, переустановил игру на другой SSD и все пошло правильно. И, да, извиняюсь - уровень был "Warehouse".

Да, фикс не пашет. А карта амд у других ребят.
Краш я починил, но отвалились шоты с автосейвов начала уровней.
Сижу чешу репу.
Если загрузить уровень из консоли и папка с сохранениями пустая то всё работает, а вот если в папке уже есть несколько сохранений - то вылет.

Great mod, been playing. Ran into a couple bugs you might be able check out. Idk if these are new but I didn't have these issues in the previous version.
-Saving/loading Crashes the game.
-Music with no randomization doesnt loop.
-When anyfile is selected for Music with no randomization, incorrect tracks for
levels are chosen as if randomization is on. Switching to HDD and reloading the
level plays proper track but still does not loop.
Hope you can figure these out. I couldn't seem to squash them on my end.

using with default gog installation of quake 2 quaddamage pack. clicking the quake2xp exe and nothing happens. cant even create a logfile with +set developer 1 +set logfile 2 because it won't start at all :( previous version worked perfect. using latest bin from discord

Unfortunately I got a corrupted save file directly after entering Unit 3 (the Jail missions, where you travel to by conveyor belt after leaving the Warehouse).

First, thanks KirkBarnes for your great work. I was able to run Quake2XP fine on my Win 10 GTX 1080 with latest NVIDIA drivers. For my Win 10 i7 4770K 8 GB RAM RX 480 8GB with latest Adrenaline drivers, it hangs and you have to end the process from Task Manager. I can upload a log file, but it is very similar to mollo927, it has lots of errors that aren't actually errors about the textures that are being overridden, then nothing else in the log. I hope it can be fixed for AMD, it looks amazing on the 1080.

I got on discord through link on Moddb summary page, I will follow the discord to get and try new versions. I tried the latest one out there, it got further but has errors in the log and hangs, I will remain positive, thanks for your work on this, it's really a fun game!
