Full Version 7 commentsThis is the second techdemo of Q4 OpenCoop suited for the newest Quake4 version.
Quake4 Opencoop is mod for playing Quake4 cooperatively. Playing coop means that you play with your buddies against the Strogg in then normal singleplayer levels. OpenCoop is intented to support up to four players. It enhances the original Quake4 game in several ways: The monsters are now synchronised over the network and fight against the player and his team. The scripted sequences as well as the cinematics are working over then network so you can enjoy the whole singleplayer universe of Quake4. In this initial version we already managed it to get the vehicle synchronisation working. Players can drive the hover tank and jump into the walker. However this is only the first tech demo of Q4 OpenCoop. Created as a preview there many features are still missing.

No one does amazing mods like last man standing from doom 3 anymore. I've been waiting for years for a mod that allows me to play far cry 2 & 1 in coop. quake 4 in coop fear in coop and nothing. I guess people are not as smart as I thought. Or they don't exist anymore.

Where do I copy the extracted files? Could you explain better how it works in the game?
You extract it in your Quake 4 folder. Launch the game and go to mods and it should work. I'm having issues with it myself (crashes after loading mod)
