Project Vanshing Point takes place in a city that has been abandoned for the last 50 years. While different factions roam the outskirts and mountains a distress signal begins erupting from the tower at the center of the city. your mission is simple: travel through the abandoned city and figure out what is happening at the heart of the tower. We are trying to push source to it's limits to expect the requirements to be fairly high for a source based game.

No it is brush based otherwise we would have problems with how the shadows work. So nothing new in how it works it is just the way it is done that is new specifically for Project Vanishing Point.

So... you used brushes to bump out the windows? If so, I like it. Attention to detail is always good. :)
Also, you should replace some of the textures in the windows to minimize repeating texture artifacts. That would help.

Yes windows are carved in and there is a little edge under the windows. Pretty simple although tedious but its worth it because it looks better than just smacking on a texture. This method will probably not be used a lot in Prolouge but the next episode is probably going to use it a lot more.
