Nice, I guess ingame they are cloaked by default?

Also it seems that these mines aren't build individually and units can pass over them (like real minefields?)

Yes they are cloaked by default.

Units can pass over, the mines blow up once enemy unit NOT IMMUNE TO EMP enters adjacent cell.

You can build 5 mines at once providing you're already placed atleast one on the battlefield. Also follows standard build area rules (i.e you can only build them few cells off from own/ally structures). Placement sort of works like concrete walls in unmodified Yuri's Revenge.
