Description

Ironblight Howitzer is a Dominion Experimental Unit that can be built with acquisition of technology from Dominion Battle Lab. An artillery vehicle armed with special cannons that sprays targets with inert Iron Skin chemical formula, which is extremely corrosive. The formula dissolves infantry and vehicle armour with ease, only structure armour offers particularly noticeable resistance towards it. In addition to the initial showering of the corrosive chemical, pools of the sludge-like material linger around the targeted area for a little while, dealing further damage to anything that stays within it. Furthermore Ironblight can use the activated version of the formula to shield itself and nearby vehicles completely from damage and any other harmful effects for a duration of time, however during this Ironblight will be unable to fire its cannons. Exercise caution while using this ability, however, as infantry, friendly or otherwise will not be protected from the corrosive effects of the chemicals even in this case.

As with all other Experimental Units, they are normally only available with late game prerequisites and after infiltrating enemy tech laboratories. There however, is a game option in game lobby to toggle this to either disable them entirely or allow constructing them without infiltration, however they are still only limited to one per unit. Be mindful that if you choose to play without requiring infiltration for Experimental Units, Brutal AI opponents will also use them, potentially against you.
