Portal: Prelude, as its name states it, is an unofficial prequel to the game Portal. Its story revolves around the pre-GlaDOS epoch, even before she was plugged in. At this time, test subjects were monitored by real Aperture Science employees, whose work was tedious, lengthy and repetitive. This is why they decided to build a great artificial intelligence that could both replace them in these difficult tasks, and also take responsibility for many other tasks within the complex and compete with Black Mesa's superiority. All employees of the Aperture Science complex are now eagerly awaiting GlaDOS. Maybe even a little too eagerly, as the upcoming events will tell... This game is totally free. It offers a bit more gameplay hours than the original Portal, with 8 chapters, 19 test chambers, 48 challenges, 6 advanced maps, a brand new storyline and more than 400 lines of english speech with dozens of subtitles translations.

lol thats funny because this mod has existed since 2008.
I know. I meant the overhaul. Hopefully this clears up any confusion. The reason I'm waiting another 3 years, is that I have a surprise planned for the 15th anniversary of Portal Prelude.

Hello Guest, I know this is 8 days late, but seeing this comment, I assume that you do not have WinRar installed, just go through the installer as any other and right-click on the mod, or addon, or any of the junk that you want, (emphasis on junk, no harm done, don't hate me) and click extract here, than drag to sourcemods folder, or extract to the sourcemods folder through the WinRar program. It is 100% free software. It does have a useless trial, though, because all it does is lets you use it without paying. Download here, Win-rar.com

Howdy! I have a question concerning what is meant by "HD." Does this version of Portal Prelude only update the textures and whatnot like an hd texture pack, or does it redo the maps/models in a way that they look more appealing?
It's mostly a texture pack, for now. I'm hoping to give the maps an overhaul too, but that will take me three years, as this is not a definitive build.
how do i download it? i looked at tutorials and none of them worked , all of them said to extract the files to sourcemods in steamapps , but ti deosent works , idk what to do anymore , i have been tryin to download this version and other version for a month and nothing worked
