Portal Memories is a mod based on the Portal 2 Mappack.
The idea behind this is to make an episodic mod, which you can play as it grows and every new chapter will be based on a whole new theme.
The basic concept is the following:
You start at the main room.
Use the portal machines to visit the chambers and gather all the eye balls.
Bring them to the main room and open the gate leading to the next chapter.
The first chapter is Portal 2 themed, as you already know. The next chapters... you'll have to wait and see.

Installation:
To install, follow these steps...
1. Extract the downloaded file somewhere on your desktop.
2. Copy the Portal Memories folder and paste it into the Steam's SourceMods path.
You can find it here: .../Steam/SteamApps/SourceMods/
3. Log in to Steam and you can find the mod under your installed Games list.
4. Play and enjoy!

It Didn't work here.
Full of bugs, pink-and-black squares and ERROR messages.
It should work.
I'll take a look at it.
Pink and Black checkerboard and red Errors means Missing textures. Dont blame him.
If you have illegal portal copy, yes there will be everywhere black and pink squares, but if you have normal version and using steam, well strange thing. I write this comment before downloading "Portal Memories".
black-pink checkerboard = missing textures
ERROR signs = missing 3D models
I just played through this chapter not too long ago. I really liked interacting with the laser puzzle element as seen in E3.
A side note: Some of the assets used were from Half-Life 2 by the looks of it. If you do not have that game, you might have issues.

i have the steam version and i got purple black squares
Will this work with portal I got as a gift?
I can fix go to streamapp > sourcemods > Portal Memories > materials > console > Delete all .jpeg in folder

I dont mean to be a pest, but when i load it up it says couldn't find title texture, or something like that.
I could imagine its great, i played the portal 2 chamber map one, it was great. but please help me.
