Payneful Productions presents: Polar Paradise - A Psychotic Action Parody! This tongue-firmly-in-cheek Christmas mod heralds the return of Dinky, a polar bear with nothing to lose'™, and also the world's leading Arctic Avenger'™, and star of the classic 2003 Max Payne mod, Polar Payne.

The story so far...

Coming Christmas 2007!

This project was originally made for university, as part of our game production management degree. The main part of the project (besides development) was to produce extensive documentation, including GDD, APP, and TDD; recruit and manage a small team; and present (pitch) the initial concept and final game. You can view the production documentation on our production wiki. It was made in the spring/summer of 2007, in a time span of under 9 weeks (including pre-production) - hence why the quality is perhaps lower than comparable mods of this size. Since then, I've held onto it, and when I've had the chance, tried to polish it a little.

To celebrate the imminent release of Polar Paradise, I've also uploaded the original Polar Payne mod for Max Payne. You can download and play that here.

Thanks everyone! Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of those crazy platform adventure games the N64 used to do so well. :) I see Dinky as sort of like 'Banjo with attitude'.

Don't forget to try the original Polar Payne - it's a little darker and more surreal than this one, but it's a great introduction to the character. If bear-hugging eskimos 'til their heads go 'pop' is your thing, then definitely check it out. ;)
