News Update #49 "Almost Over The Hill" - Point of Existence: 2 mod for Battlefield 2

Welcome back for this weeks news. We are very happy to announce that “XerePro” has returned to the developer staff as a level designer. He had a very busy personal life and resigned right before our last release of PoE:1. The map “Maikona” was developed by him which I’m sure created great memories on the battlefield for many players.

To begin this week we would like to showcase the Russian made MSTA-B 152mm Towed Artillery that will be used by Ukraine. Both the model and skin was developed by “Nello”. He has turned into a work horse since we brought him onboard a few weeks ago. More of his work will be showcased in the following weeks as the skins get completed.

Next we have the German High Explosive & Smoke Grenades. These were both fully developed by “Devil” which we had shown the original renders a while back.

Anyone interested in shooting down those pesty flyboys? The next in game screenshots are of the SA-7 Portable Anti-Air Missile. This weapon was fully developed by “AgentX”.

Last week we showcased the Eurocopter Tiger which “Senor Freebie” created the model and “Devil” developed the skin. “Devil” has taken the time to update the skin after someone from the German community pointed out that we had a symbol on the skin that represents it as being a “prototype”. The black paint also represents the aircraft as being a prototype but we have decided to keep it due to popular demand from our community.

Our treat for this week’s news is a teaser video created by “Illicitfilms”. We brought him onboard as a level designer and our official movie maker. This will be his first official movie for PoE:2 and many more to come in the near future. We are excited that next week will be our 50th news post so stay tuned for something from him next week. The movie is in .wmv format after you uncompress it and should be able to use Windows Media Player to view it. The .zip size is 12.3Meg.
