The Holiday Season is upon us and we will not be providing news posts over the next two Thursdays. The news updates will return to the community on January 5th, 2006. Some of our developers have already left on vacations or are on their way to spend time with friends and family. I’m sure some of us will still be working on things, but production has slowed down so that people can enjoy their holiday season.
From our family to yours, we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday season and please look forward to our news in 2006!
The Team has been receiving requests that our fans want to see some finished armored vehicles in our weekly news posts. This week we’ll begin with the German Marder 1A5 which is armed with 20mm Rheinmetall MK20 Rh202 auto cannon, Milan ATGM Launcher and a 7.62mm machine gun to take care of the infantrymen that are trying to destroy it. “Nello” developed both the model and skin for this vehicle.
Another vehicle that will be able to protect the ground troops is the Sa-13 on the MT-LB chassis. The Sa-13 is a short range, low altitude surface-to-air missile which will put a hurting to anything that it locks onto! The SA-13 model was created by “KCT” and the skin was done by “Spitfire”.
For our in-game shots this week we have the AS “Val” silenced rifle which the Ukraine will have the option to carry.
The minor animation clipping issue on the rifle butt of the AS “Val” will be fixed before it’s released to the public. We decided that we didn’t want such a minor issue to prevent the weapon from being shown this week.
The other weapon we are showing in-game is the Toz-194 12 Gauge Pump Shotgun.
Stay tuned for our news posting to begin on January 5th, 2006 after we have all recovered from the Christmas / New Year holidays.
The POE Team signing off
(till next year)…..
yeah the mod looks great :D
This mod looks better than Battlefield 2, graphics wise. =)
Bliemy, for a second I thought it was "new" news. This has been posted on TBF2 for a while, did you guys just forget to post it here? ;)
Nope, didn't forget to post the news here. Just took a while before the update was approved for front page for some reason...
The Moddb.com staff apologized for the delay on approving our news. I'm sure w/the holiday season upon us the person responsible for approving our news post was probably just busy and didn't get to it in time. Thanks for everyone's comments and we look forward to posting more great news in 2006. Merry Christmas to everyone - happy holidays to people that celebrate other holidays - and have a safe and enjoyable new year.
