Pilotable Strider Mod is a HL2:Deathmatch modification that allows you to play a deathmatch with a pilotable strider, a helicopter, or an APC. Also included a Sniper rifle!!.
You can control the Strider like the HL2 Vehicles, but also you can use the machine gun, Anti-matter cannon and leg attack.
You can control a helicopter too, using his machine gun and the bombs.
And also a combine APC, with his machine gun and his Missiles.

The SM Team are working now in a new version of the Strider Mod 0.2.75 (the single player version) called Strider Mod SX, using the source SDK base and porting the Strider Mod entity from Strider Mod 0.3.51.
We will post soon new screenshots from the new Strider Mod SX. We're targeting the following features:
- Single Player experience.
- Pilotable Dog
- New entity called qua_pilotable(where you can script your own pilotable using LUA, like a headcrab. Click here for more info):
- Works from Source SDK base code. (You need only HL2 to play it).

Why isn't anyone playing online? I WANT TO PLAY!
Anyways, very nice job with this mod, I absolutely love the controls and animations for the Striders. And the layout for the levels are excellent, couldn't have asked for better.
Now someone SERIOUSLY host a game.
Yknow i think this is the only Game i think really changes the system completely. Unfortunatly i cant find servers and i always make my own. The helcopter really shows what you can do with that source engine. Imagne the possablitys of helicopters in games....Unreal 2k4 wont know whats happening
So are there going to be any forthcoming single-player updates? I mean, are any future versions going to feature single-player gameplay, even if it is just kind of experimenting a la Garry's Mod?
What is the problem controlling the strider? What version?.

this mod is fun, i had problems controlling my strider though. is it smoother in the new version? the mini-strider looks awesome!
I love this mod. It's so different from other mods. The idea of playing or more correctly steering the Strider is awesome.

Sorry to double comment but you should make the jeep and airboat follow the current vehical rules, where they have health and such rather than just hurting the controller of the vehical.
Can you get these into multiplayer, and how do I spawn them? I was trying ot make an airbase team deathmatch battle with gunships and choppers but I'm not usre if the gunship is still controllable...
