Welcome to this months update of the exceptional Crysis Modification Petrograd, developed by the Space Cowboys Team under the guidance of Game Designer and Team Lead Roy Shapira, it has been a while since their last update for they have worked hard to get ready for the next gameplay trailer coming up in the following months. your comments are important to us so please feel free to tell us what you think.
New Character Assets
There is a slew of new assets being created on a daily basis, each pass a strict pipeline of approvals to ensure the excellent quality is maintained, today we'll bring to you several of the highlighted assets that where created in the past couple of months.
Final First Person Model
Today we bring to you the final First person model that will be used for the 3rd person cutscenes, and will allow the player to see his legs. The First person Model was created (modeled and textured) by talented team member Anton Kozlov, and is now being animated by team member Lead Animator Chris Lau.
Work in Progress (WIP) Enemy Combatant Model
The Enemy will have many variants of soldiers, with an obvious difficulty level, from Grunt, to veteran and elite soldiers, today we'll show the new improved grunt variants, which will make the mass of the enemy army. The Enemy Combatant Model was created by talented team member Anton Kozlov who is now texturing this excellent model.
New Vehicle Asset
Finished Russian Jeep Model
Petrograd City is located in the great Russian area, and thus will require some Russian made transportation, the military Russian jeep (UAZ) although ugly in design is very strong and sturdy both on and off road. The Jeep was created (both modeled and textured) by talented team member Sean Kelly. and it is now being imported into the engine by team member Jack Hammersmith and will be drivable both by the player and the AI.
WIP Russian Truck Model
The URAL is a troop transporter used for both on and off road travel, it carries over 20 soldiers, and can reach almost anywhere. The Track was created by talented team member Sean Kelly. who is now texturing it.
Finished Tracktor Model
The rural area of Petrograd will have working vehicles as well, today we'll bring the Tractor, its
usually used by farmers, but the player can find new duties for it once he jumps into the seat. The tractor was created by team member Jon Stoner, and it is now being imported into the engine by team member Jack Hammersmith who will make sure it will be drivable both by the player and the AI.
New Building Assets
WIP Residential Building Model
Petrograd city has many types of buildings both historical and modern, many of them will be complete from the outside and within, so the player can explore the different apartments and even scope the area from the roof-top, two buildings are shown in this update, they where created by talented team member Chris Schweiger who is now texturing them.
The Space Cowboys Team is hard at work to create the most wonderful and detailed levels, to help immerse the player into the thrilling story and gameplay. Today the team features some of their new environments for your viewing pleasures.
WIP Bars interiors
There are few Bars around in Petrograd some will be used as base of operations and place where you can "rest" between missions, others will have different uses, today we'll showcase few of them, team member lead level designer Benjamin Thatcher, new team member level designer Gustav Engman and new team member - level designer Sven Kiesser have created the bars shown below.
WIP City Environment
Team member level designer Hendrik Lenz, new team member level designer Sven Kiesser, and new team member level designer Gustav Engman have created some excellent city environments, streets, allies, and the grand plaza, all featured below.
Team member lead level designer Benjamin Thatcher has created several Wallpaper quality screenshot, they are un-tampered in any way and are shown as is from the engine.
