Perfected Doom 3 was started as a simple tweak mod years ago. After realizing that I was still not happy with Doom 3 after making some alterations to weapons and enemy stats I continued to add more to the game. Now Perfected Doom 3 is more then just a tweak mod. It attempts to completely overhaul the entire game with new monsters, rebalanced weapons, rebalanced monster stats, better graphics, new gameplay features and much more. It has been met with great appreciation and acclaim by it's users. This mod will bring many improvements to standard Doom 3 and it's Resurrection of Evil expansion.

What kind of PC you need to have to let PD36 run like it seems to run in this video. I bet he had Crossfire or SLI rigged in. Also at leats quad core CPU and over 4 gigs of ram. And that is all that i cannot afford now or i the nearest future.
My PC? DualCore E7200 2,53@~2,8GHz and Radeon HD4870 1GB, 4GB Ram. :)
Trick is to turn off SSAO, SSIL and Soft Shadows (all are advanced shading that made most of slow down comparing to v5). Sikkmod is one to blame, not VG.
In compressed video it would be invisible anyway. And in game i get constant 30FPS and more.
Fraps slow it down, but video with 20-25 FPS is smoother than like 30FPS in game. :)
What do you have?
I'm using a quadcore CPU with 4 Ghz of RAM and a 1 Ghz DX11 GPU.
You really need better hardware then what is needed to run vanilla Doom 3.
Sikkmod really cranks up the need for better system resources. But that's why I left options to disable those really demanding features.
