This mod will evolve your Max Payne 2 experience to a whole new level, one step closer to its successor Max Payne 3. With new models, weapons, animations, graphic effects, sounds, particles, and so on this mod will improve your good old Max Payne 2 to make it shine again in the next generation gaming.
Here's the new death screen, it's as close to the Max Payne 3 one as you can get with the MP2 engine.
Nice one mate!
Will it be exactly like the deaths? Like it shows 3 different camera angles then freezes time? Or will it be like the regular mp2 deaths?
Nope, it's impossible in the MP2 engine, almost like every other advanced feature of MP3, as I said in the description this is as close as you can get without a new engine. ;)
This is GREAT!
Is it me, or...... Where's the leather jacket? ._.
This is a skin variation for the vanilla story, as I've done in my Payne Effects 3 mod when Max goes to his apartment he undresses of his jacket, loosens his tie, makes himself more confortable by pulling off his shirt an so on (as you know he is going to take a nap afterall), so this is the jacket-less Max Payne model that you will use in the Payne's Apartment levels. ;)
But then he leaves immediately after and then has his jacket. Doesn't that screw with continuity a bit?
He could have dressed it off-screen, the pros are > than the cons anyway IMHO.
Hello, just wanted to say that I absolutely love your Payne Effects 3 Mod and can't wait for this mod in order to play through MP2 yet again with a fresh twist to it!
I just wanted to ask whether it would be possible to add the feature from Max Payne 3 where, if you have painkillers and you take lethal damage, the game goes into bullet-time, and if you manage to kill the person that 'killed' you, you then 'come back to life' with one less painkiller. I'm asking this because I often forget to quicksave in MP2 and then die near the end of the level and have to start again from the beginning, which is really frustrating but totally my fault :(
I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, and thanks for all your work in modding this great game :D
Already done, it's a bit different than the one of MP3 but more useful I think, for future questions be sure to check the Features page first. :)
