Pawns of war takes place in an alternate universe in which there are some gods that control planetary systems, provided to create races and transform these systems to cause wars and so dominate the entire universe. You are James Parker, a marine from the Earth, your mission is stop this wars, you must find planets to kill their gods. Is the only way for save the Earth and anothers planets, you're the only one hope.
