Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

Agh! This mod is the only mod that's making absolutely awesome ships related to homeworld, and I don't really want to get it too much because of the Tactical Layout. It's A fun game but the matches are too short for me. Any chance when your done you could make a slimmed down, more to homeworld version for those of us with too much free time? Because this mod looks absolutely fantastic.

Do I spot a version of the Somtaaw Dreadnought?! My all-time favorite Homeworld ship, I am now eminently ecstatic for the next release!

Yep the seraph is the succesor of the archangel dreadnaught. As for longer matches, dont worry on large maps 30 min+ games will be standard once gameplay has been balanced and tweaked. My personal preference is to avoid hour long games so ptv isnt designed for them but i may add some huge maps for such purposes

Won't be seeing Super Acolytes, I don't think. Dunno whether Mololu's changes his mind though... ;)

Um, is that really how the Acolyte fighter ships looks like when it is been bombarded with high pixels and better graphics detail?

Description

With the end of the Beast Wars Kiith Somtaaw found themselves not only with a reputation but also with a surplus of advanced combat ships. Sad only that combat vessels are not practical in times of peace. Despite their legacy and the Somtaaw's contributions to Hiigaran safety, no buyers were ultimately found for their advanced but unorthodox ship designs.

The Hiigaran Imperial Fleet would prefer more cost-efficient designs in building the bulk of its Warfleet prior to the second Hiigaran War. However with Makaan and his Vaygr defeated, the Hiigaran Empire began expanding in all directions. Somtaaw miners would venture ever farther forth, often far over the borders of Imperial space in search of more lucrative mineral deposits.

It went without saying that these remote mining outposts would require combat ships to defend and with the Imperial Fleet largely unwilling to operate so far from their home turf, Somtaaw Engineers would turn back to the innovative designs which remain from the Beast Wars.

Upgrading existing chaissis with more modern or recently discovered technologies, the Somtaaw posess a small but potent combat fleet which is fully capable of self-sufficient operation in deep space.

However in times of need the Somtaaw will temporarily hand over portions of their combat fleet to Imperial Fleet Command. Still crewed by Somtaaw Veterans but floating under the flag of the Empire, the Beastslayer's Legacy is one of the most heavily armored and armed tactical fleets in the Hiigaran Empire.

Any foe that attempts to stand against Kiith Somtaaw will feel the wrath of their advanced beam and plasma technology while their tough as nails hulls withstand unnatural ammounts of fire.

Indeed, the Beastslayer's Legacy continues a hundred years after they gained their name in the Beast Wars...
